HR Assistant, Accra

Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephone system for the purpose of screening calls, transferring calls, responding to inquiries and/or taking messages.
  • Assist with employment process (e.g., call-backs, scheduling interviews, entering information into computer, maintaining current applications, assisting with applicant searches, notification, new teacher orientation/induction, career fairs, etc.) for the purpose of meeting strict team requirements while complying with established guidelines.
  • Assist with new employee orientation (e.g., introducing personnel, payroll, and benefit policies, assisting with enrolment forms, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring team members are knowledgeable of current practices and administrative processes.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of gathering information required to perform functions.
  • Compile data from a variety of sources (e.g., applicants, team members, outside agencies, etc.) for the purpose of complying with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and enter and store data in company`s servers for the purpose of documenting and/or providing reliable information for the quarterly and end of year compilations of responses.
  • Greet individuals entering the office (e.g., visitors, team, parents, applicants, etc.) for the purpose of responding to inquiries and/or directing individuals to appropriate location.
  • Prepare a variety of reports and related documents (e.g., classified, and certificated reports, purchase orders, supply requisitions, recruitment packages, Human Resources newsletter, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information.
  • Processes documents and materials (e.g., applications, photographs of team members and identification cards, fingerprinting, employment verification, etc.) for the purpose of developing and disseminating information to appropriate parties.
  • Receive items within the office (e.g., mail, messages, application packets, packages, supplies, etc.) for proper Receipt.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Diploma /degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or other related courses.
  • One year's experience in Food & Beverage outlet or similar position.
  • Understand, speak, and write in English fluently
  • Knowledgeable in MS office applications (Word, Excel, and Power point).
